Fletchers Solicitors, a leading UK law firm specialising in personal injury and clinical negligence cases, has opened a new regional office in Newcastle city centre as part of its ongoing national expansion plans.
The new base, located in The Spire on Pilgrim Street adjacent to the iconic Tyne Bridge, marks the firm’s first dedicated presence in the North East. The office will initially employ five staff members, with plans to grow the team to more than 30 in the coming months.
Headquartered in Manchester, Fletchers Solicitors is one of the largest clinical negligence and personal injury practices in the UK. It forms part of a wider group including several legal brands such as Serious Injury Law, Minton Morrill, Cycle SOS, Medical Law Services (MLS), Patient Claim Line, and Blume, alongside its charitable arm, the Fletchers Foundation. The group has more than 1,000 employees spread across offices in Manchester, Liverpool, Leeds, Southport, Bolton, and Cambridge.
Alex Lynch, Chief Financial Officer at Fletchers Solicitors, said:
“We are thrilled to open our doors in Newcastle as part of our continued national growth. This new location allows us to be closer to our clients and partners in the region. Our mission is to help rebuild the lives of those who have suffered life-changing injuries, ensuring they receive access to the justice and support they deserve. Expanding into Newcastle reinforces this mission and deepens our connection to the communities we serve.”
Mr Lynch added that the Newcastle office represents a vital step in broadening the firm’s geographic reach while strengthening its national presence. He also highlighted the firm’s commitment to attracting top legal talent from across the North East.
In addition to legal services, Fletchers is actively exploring partnerships with local charities, advocacy groups, and healthcare support organisations. These collaborations aim to enhance long-term recovery and support for individuals affected by personal injury and clinical negligence in the region.
The firm was acquired in 2021 by an affiliate of Sun European Partners LLP, underscoring its strong financial backing and commitment to sustained growth across key UK regions.
